This time a review of a mask from the Skin Clearing line of The Body Shop. I was curious about the mask while shopping online, because there are many good comments about this cooling mask.
In this mask, as the name suggests, tea tree is processed. Tea tree oil prevents impurities from the skin. This mask ensures that your skin is calmed and does not dry out the skin at the same time. Sounds good! But does it work well?
How to use
They advise on the packaging to use this clay mask weekly to minimize impurities. This I have done, for a month I used the mask twice a week to see what it did for my skin.
Every time I applied a generous layer and let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes. After applying the mask I immediately felt that the mask was cooling my skin. Do not be alarmed if you use this mask yourself! There is menthol is incorporated in this formula, which gives a kind of stimulating feeling on your face.
Menthol counteracts impurities but can also have a drying effect. To prevent dehydration of the skin,Tamanu oil was put in this product. So the product won’t be as drying and will make your skin smooth. You can view the entire list of ingredients here.
Then you rinse the mask off your face with lukewarm water. After rinsing, you can use a cotton pad with water (or a cleanser of your choice) to go over your face again to get rid of all the remains of the mask. It is wise to remove everything so that you have clean skin again!
What did I think of it?
It is a mask that dries quickly and is relatively easy to rinse off. This mask is a nice addition if you suffer from impurities. Because the menthol can be quite overwhelming, for this reason I would mainly use this mask on your problem areas. After using this mask you can rub your skin with a day or night cream to moisturize your skin. My skin felt very smooth and soft after use, I will definitely continue to use this mask.
